As COVID continues to be present in our community, we ask anyone who is feeling unwell to stay home. Wearing a mask is an individual decision.
Our monthly get togethers are held at the Pleasantview Community Hall (10860 – 57 Avenue NW). We meet on the first Thursday of each month from September to June. Guests and visitors are welcome. Doors open at 9:30 a.m. with a short business meeting starting at 10:30am followed by a show and tell of recent projects. Often there is also a free learning event. The remainder of the time, until 3:00pm, allows the members to shop for wool and other hooking needs, check out library books, use the guild cutter, and to learn or collaborate with other members. There is a help table for those who need assistance getting started, or who have concerns about their current projects.
Evening drop-in hook-ins are the 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month excepting summer months, from 7 to 9pm at Windsor Park Hall. Open to the public. Location: 11840-87th Ave.,NW, Edmonton. Join members of Edmonton Rug Hooking Guild for a no-cost social evening of rug hooking, Supplies are provided for folks wanting to learn a new skill, a cutter and a communal bin of spare wool strips are available to use, and a small selection of beginner kits are available for purchase. We'll introduce you to the techniques and supplies needed to make your own hand-hooked textile art in an informal, friendly environment.
Everyone is welcome... visitors, members, those wishing to learn or just see what the buzz is. We get together for collaboration, discussion, and hooking. Hook-ins are open to all including Edmonton Rug Hooking Guild [ERHG] or Focus on Fibre Art Association [FFAA] members.
